We have just renewed the lease ( it is a 3x3 ). The rent is very reasonable at $500.00 per week including GST with standard CPI increases in place.

We employ a staff of 7, so the business runs smoothly even if we are away on holidays. We have 2 fulltime Bakers, 2 fulltime Pastry cooks, 2 permanent casual Delivery People (Also help with packing orders) and 1 permanent casual Office Girl. Plus husband and wife team work on the packing of orders and administration.

All the staff members are very hard working and reliable and great team members. Some have been with us since we purchased the bakery and we are sure they would all be keen to stay on with new owners if possible.

Operating hours - The bakehouse operates through the night with bakers starting around 6pm, this allows for all the bread to be through the ovens to free them up for the cake side. All production and packing is done for the vans to leave around 5.30am and they are normally back around 9am to 9.30am. The office is then manned until 4pm Monday to Friday to take orders and provide customers with personal service. After this we have an answering machine where late orders are left.

All accounts are computerised and the office is set up with all necessary equipment to make ordering, production amounts and account keeping easy. We use an average 100 bags of flour each week with an average turnover of around $14,000 to $15,000 per week.

This is a genuine sale and a profitable business with a very reasonable asking price, which includes all equipment, both Delivery Vans and any stock at hand.

It is worthy to note, that the owners do not have to be qualified, as this business (with our great staff) runs itself.

Just a quick word on Port Macquarie itself ? it is a beautiful place to live, very moderate temperature with the beaches only a couple of minutes from town. Great place to raise children or just live with nature as your backyard. Koalas are a common sight as is the resident family of kangaroos that have their breakfast at the back of the bakehouse.
